“Didn’t miss a day to play football”: Gurgaon twins who scored above 98% in class 10 board exams without tuition – Times of India

For twins Anushka Vora and Aastha Vohra, who recently received their Class 10 results, the closure of schools due to the COVID pandemic was the biggest distraction in studies. Following the announcement by the World Health Organization (WHO), the Indian government, along with other governments around the world, had closed schools, colleges and educational institutions as a measure to contain the spread of the coronavirus.

These twin sisters recently got their CBSE class 10 result and excelled in it. Where Anushka has secured 99.6%, Aastha has secured 98.6%. Both the sisters have scored 100-100 marks in Information Technology and French paper. This year, 3.10% of the total students have scored more than 95% in the CBSE Class 10 exams.

Talking to ETimes, their mother Avani Vora said, “Both have never taken any tuition till date.”

His mother says, “Covid was the biggest distraction, not being able to go to school physically, was the biggest disappointment, but he always focused on his goals.” Anushka and Aastha are among lakhs of students who studied through online mode during 2020-2021. Physical classes were resumed in schools and colleges in the later parts of 2021 and early parts of 2022.

The happy mother says that both her daughters are active in their studies as well as sports and physical activities and never miss a day to play football with their friends. He is currently part of the Royal Rangers Football Club, and looks forward to playing for the state football team.

On her study pattern, her mother says, her approach is balanced. It is not only about studies. He loves to play and read books. While Anushka has been a chief editor at Teen Tribune, Aastha was selected for the Harvard Business School law program and did extremely well.

On the sibling equation, the proud mother says, “Although they criticize each other, they are constant companions in studies, sports, art drawing and friendship.”

In their message to their juniors preparing for board exams and appearing next year, the sisters have a clear message: “There is no substitute for hard work. The key to good results lies in both studying and playing each day.” . Trust your teachers and believe in yourself.”

Enthusiastic about studying science, Anushka and Aastha are looking forward to studying in class 12th.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the class 10 and 12 results on July 24. A total of 2,093,978 students had appeared for the class 10 board exams, out of which 1,976,668 students passed, thus taking the overall pass percentage to 94.4%. Girls have outperformed boys by 1.41%.

The overall pass percentage has declined in comparison to the performance in these exams during the pandemic. Last year 99.04% students passed the exam.
