Digvijay Rath Yatra will reach Udupi on 7th November

The Digvijay Rath Yatra of Akhil Bharatiya Santha Samiti, which is being taken out for the promotion of the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya, will enter Udupi on November 7.

Speaking to reporters, Vijay Kodavoor, general secretary of Udupi District Digvijaya Rath Yatra welcome committee, said that this yatra is being done to reach out to the devotees across the country who are waiting to visit the Ram temple in Ayodhya. It will cover a distance of 15,000 km in 27 states. It was flagged off by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on 5 October.

Mr. Kodavoor said that the Yatra would be accorded a grand welcome at Santhekatte Junction on National Highway 66 at 10 am, which would be followed by a stage ceremony. The committee’s national president Shakti Shantananda Swami and Pejavar Math seer Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamy, who is a trustee of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, will participate in the ceremony.

The yatra will reach Mahalaxmi Temple, Uchila, followed by journey to Ambalapadi, Udyavara, Katapadi, Pangala and Kaup. After this it will enter Dakshina Kannada. Devotees in around 500 cars and 1,000 two-wheelers will be part of the Rath Yatra, Mr. Kodavoor said.
