Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) is hiring junior researchers without any recruitment exam. The direct recruitment is for Junior Research Fellowship under which eligible candidates will be eligible to use the laboratory for two years.
Applications are open for Fellows in Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Chemical, Material Science Oceanography Ocean Technology on 21st May at 9:30 AM. The interview for recruitment for Computer Science, Electronics, Physics Researchers will be held on 22 May at 9:30 PM.
DRDO JRF Recruitment: Who can apply?
The upper age limit for taking walk-in-interview is 28 years as on the date of interview. SC, ST and OBC candidates will be given upper age relaxation as per Government of India rules.

The interviews will be conducted in the premises of Naval Physical and Oceanographic Laboratory, Thrikkakara, Kochi at Varun Vidyalaya in Bhawan.
DRDO Interview: Required Documents
The candidates are required to produce all the certificates, testimonials, community certificates, valid GATE/NET score cards, etc., at the time of interview. It is mandatory for the candidates to carry the original certificates with them to the interview venue. As per the rules, they will also have to bring a set of self attested copies of all their testimonials, certificates and an ID proof. ID Proof may include Voter ID, Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License along with a recent color passport size photograph at the time of Interview.
DRDO Recruitment: Stipend
The fellowship will be awarded initially for a period of two years (extendable as per rules), with monthly emoluments of Rs. 31,000 plus house rent allowance as admissible under the rules.
A panel will be prepared for the available vacancies and future vacancies and the panel will work for a period of one year. However, the mere fact of empanelment will not entitle any candidate to the offer of fellowship, which is contingent on the occurrence of vacancies during the year. According to the official notice, the Director, NPOL reserves the right not to select any candidate if suitable candidate is not available.
