Director General of ICAR visits NDRI, announces 5 days work in all ICAR institutes – Times of India

Karnal : Himanshu Pathak, Secretary, Department of Agricultural Research and Education (DARE) cum Director General (DG), Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) visited on Thursday National Dairy Research Institute in Karnal.
He appreciated the work done by NDRI over the years. He also congratulated NDRI for getting the best university for the last five years.
He said, “ICAR is proud of the work done by NDRI and its achievements. We should work hard to make NDRI one. global animal university and to improve the health of our animals”
On this occasion he announced that from 1st October he will start 5 days work in all ICAR institutes.
Pathak said, “We are going to start 5 days work in all ICAR institutes from 1st October.
He further said that all the deemed universities should admit minimum 3000 students as per the new admission policies.
He said that 70 percent of the funds generated by the institute would remain in the existing institutions.
On this occasion, BN Tripathi, DDG, Animal Science congratulated NDRI on completing 100 years of its establishment. He further said that milk production of 21 crore tonnes is a big achievement of our country. He highlighted the cloning work done in the institute.
Director NDRI, Dhir Singh welcomed all the dignitaries. sister director ICAR Institute of Karnal were also present.
