Don’t forget to clean your makeup tools to avoid skin infections

Do you spend good money on makeup products to make sure they don’t harm your skin? Or do you make regular facial appointments to keep your skin healthy and glowing? We are all very careful about what we actually put on the skin. But what about makeup tools? If you don’t take the time to wash your beauty tools, they are more likely to become a breeding ground for bacteria. And whenever you use them to apply makeup, they transfer germs to your face. We need not mention that this can lead to a range of skin infections. That’s why it is extremely important to clean makeup tools.

Worried about how to clean appliances without damaging them? We’ve got it covered. Here are some tips for cleaning makeup brushes, blowers and styling products –

1. Makeup Brush

Soak your foundation and concealer makeup brushes in a mixture of water and shampoo. Gently swirl the brush through the solution to remove the product. You can also use textured gloves to clean the brush. Make sure you wash the brush properly. Do not blow dry your brush, instead leave it to dry on a towel. Clean your eye makeup brushes, especially liner brushes, after each use to maintain proper hygiene.

2. Blenders

Beauty blowers are made of sponge and they require a good bubble bath to get rid of the product. Wet a sponge (preferably lukewarm water) and lather a few drops of shampoo on it. If you leave your sponge to soak in the shampoo water for some time, it will also get rid of the shiny makeup.

3. Heating Equipment

Heat-protectors, styling gels, hair sprays or serums can also leave a residue on your flat iron or curlers. To ensure their effective performance, you need to clean these tools as well. Make sure your styling tool is turned off, unplugged, and cooled. Use lukewarm water and a mild soap to clean off the residue. You can also use alcohol wipes.

4.Hair Brush

There can be tangled hair along with product buildup in your hairbrush and comb. The first step is to get rid of the matted hair and then move on to the cleaning part. Put some lukewarm water and a few drops of shampoo in a container. Put the brush and comb in this container and leave it to soak. Then take a toothbrush to clean the bristles.

5. Eyelash Curler

To avoid eye infections, clean your eyelash curler with soap and water after each use. Once again, you can use alcohol wipes. It will not only clean the makeup but also unwanted bacteria and germs.
