Noida: The Noida Authority Launched an awareness campaign against unauthorized parking in Sector 1, 3 and 5 authority Employees are announcing in the public address system to park their vehicles at the authorized parking lot.

The three parking lots can simultaneously accommodate more than 1,500 vehicles at a time, but about half the space remains vacant.
“We found that many people do not park their vehicles at authorized parking. Factory workers and employees mostly park their vehicles on the roadside. We will also launch an enforcement drive soon,” he said.
“We will also hold a meeting with representatives of business houses and industries in this regard. We will urge them to park their vehicles in the authorized parking, after which we will initiate action against those who park their vehicles illegally.”
According to official data, the three-storey underground parking in Sector 1 has the facility to accommodate 476 four-wheelers and 70 two-wheelers, but only 425 four-wheelers and 69 two-wheelers are parked on weekdays.
Sector 3 parking receives relatively poor response, recording 157 four-wheelers against the capacity to park 579 four-wheelers and 121 two-wheelers.
The Sector 5 parking, located in the industrial area, can accommodate 276 four wheelers and 42 two wheelers, but only 230 four wheelers are parked there.
The parking rates have been kept nominal to attract people. Four wheelers can be parked at the rate of Rs 20 for two hours and then Rs 10 for every additional hour. The maximum parking fee for a day is Rs 80. Parking for two wheelers is Rs 10 for two hours and Rs 5 for every additional hour. The maximum charge for a day is Rs 40.
