The post shares the story of a frail old lady named Ratan. Rathi met Ratan when she was out with her friend on MG Road in Pune. The woman was collecting colored pens and selling them by placing them in cardboard boxes.

There were pens in the box, while a very special note was written on the cover of the box. The note read, ‘I don’t want to beg. Please buy blue colored pens for Rs.10/-. Thank you. bless you.”

Rathi was moved by the kindness in Ratan’s eyes and couldn’t help but share Ratan’s story among his followers and friends. In the caption, Rathi wrote, ‘Today I met a real life hero and champion – Ratan. I was out with a friend when we met Ratan. My friend read his note and made the purchase immediately. Ratan was overjoyed and we could see the gratitude and kindness in her eyes.”

Rathi recounts how Ratan did not persuade him to buy more pens and it was okay for him to buy just one pen. Rathi, impressed by his honesty, bought several more pens from him and helped bring a big smile to Ratan’s face. “Just seeing her smile and gratitude fills my heart, and she deserves to celebrate and share, hence the post,” Rathi said in the caption. Rathi then encouraged his followers to talk to Ratan and buy a pen, if they were in the vicinity.
