Draft prepared to decriminalize some aspects of 42 laws including Environment, IT, Motor Vehicle Act, PMLA

The Joint Regional Committee on Jan Vishwas Bill- JPC finalized its draft report on Monday. Through the Jan Vishwas Bill, 183 spreadsheets will be decriminalized in 42 central laws. This will make doing business and ease of living easier. There is a provision of attachment in many documents since the time of the British. Which is now ready to be reduced. Areas under preparation for changes include Environment, IT, Motor Vehicles Act, PMLA.

There is an attachment that even begging on the railway platform is a crime and there is a provision of punishment for it up to six months. The JPC has consulted 19 different ministries to reform these laws. Interestingly, there is also a reform in the PMLA which the ED is opposing. There is a proposal to decriminalize the PMLA decision, which the ED has opposed, saying that it will reduce the power of the investigating agency.

In the Jan Vishwas Bill, there is a provision of fine for punishment in many gates. With this, common people and businessmen will get ease in their work. Decriminalizing will also reduce the burden on the courts and reducing overcrowding in jails will also help.
