The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has invited eligible candidates to apply for the recruitment of Welfare Officer (WO) / Probation Officer (PO) / Prison Welfare Officer (PWO) in various departments. Candidates can apply for the vacancies by visiting the official website of the DSSSB at dsssb.delhi.gov.in. The online registration process will commence on December 5, 2023, and conclude on January 3, 2024. It is important to note that only online applications will be accepted by the board. Applications received by post, hand, mail, etc. will not be accepted and will be promptly dismissed. In addition, there will be no correspondence in this respect.

Through this recruitment drive, the DSSSB plans to fill up a total of 80 WO/ PO/ WPO openings. Out of these 43 posts are for the Department of Women & Child Development and the other 37 for the Department of Social Welfare.
DSSSB Recruitment 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for the Welfare Officer (WO) / Probation Officer (PO) / Prison Welfare Officer (PWO) vacancies should not be older than 30 years. More details on the same are available in the notification.
Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in Social Work OR a Masters of Art (Sociology) OR a Postgraduate Degree in Criminology from a reputable university or institute, in addition to the age restriction.

DSSSB Recruitment 2023: Selection Process
The DSSSB will hold a single-tier examination (Tier-I) for the positions of Welfare Officer (WO) / Probation Officer (PO) / Prison Welfare Officer (PWO). The Multiple-Choice Question (MCQ) exam will be for a duration of three hours.
DSSSB Recruitment 2023: Application Fee
General category aspirants need to pay an application fee of Rs 100. Women applicants, as well as those belonging to Schedule Caste (SC), Schedule Tribe (ST), Person with Disability (PwD), and Ex-Serviceman categories, are exempt from paying the application fees. The online application fee is non-refundable.
