Tata Motors Today it is announced that the mass 1500 . order has been received electric buses From Delhi Transport Corporation ,DTC) under tender by Convergence Energy Services. As per the contract, Tata Motors will supply, operate and maintain air-conditioned, low-floor, 12-metre fully built electric buses for 12 years.
We are delighted to confirm the order for 1500 electric buses to Tata Motors. Incorporation of eco-friendly buses will help in reducing air pollution and will benefit lakhs of Delhi citizens. DTC is committed to introduce new technologies for the benefit of commuters and society at large,” says Neeraj Semwal, IAS, MD – Delhi Transport Corporation.
Mahua Acharya, MD & CEO, Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL) said, “We are extremely happy that DTC has placed its largest order for electric buses under CESL’s Grand Challenge. Delhi Government Has shown exemplary leadership in the adoption of electric buses. We are fortunate to have benefited from this and are grateful to Tata Motors for their generous support.”

Tata Motors is working to bring eco-friendly mobility to India. The company is continuously working towards innovative solutions powered by alternative fuel technology, including battery-electric, hybrid, CNG, LNG and hydrogen fuel cell technology, the official statement said. Tata Motors has supplied over 650 electric buses to several cities in India, which have covered a total distance of over 39 million km.
