DU Admission 1st Cut-Off: Application Accepted, Seats Filled. details here

The colleges of Delhi University have received around 70,000 applications for admission under the first cut-off list. According to the data shared by the university, out of 60,904 applications, 14,205 were approved on Thursday and 27,006 students have made payments.

Today October 8 is the last day for payment while yesterday was the last day to approve applications for colleges.

Anju Srivastava, principal of Hindu College, said that they have got about 2,000 admissions in 956 seats. 1st cut off list. Srivastava said that almost all the courses for the unreserved category in the second cut-off list will be closed.

“We will be closed for admission in Political Science (Hons), History (Hons), Hindi (Hons), BA program, Philosophy (Hons), etc and almost all science courses. I think we will have only seats left BA (Hons) Economics and BCom (Hons),” said the principal of Hindu College.

Miranda House Principal Dr Bijaylakshmi Nanda said that the college will not open the second cut-off list for Political Science (Hons), Chemistry (Hons), Physics (Hons) and Zoology (Hons). However, seats will remain open in courses like Sociology (Hons), History (Hons), Economics (Hons) and some combinations of BA programmes.

Dr Kalpana Bhakuni, Principal of Kamala Nehru College said that the picture will be clear after the final payment is done.

“Every year shows a different trend and this year, we are seeing that the reserved categories seats in our college are filling up quite fast, while the unreserved seats are getting slow. will be filled in the second and third cut-off list,” she said.
