DU Admission 2022: 1st seat allotment list not today Check Dates Here

The wait isn’t over yet! Students seeking admission in Delhi University need to stay for one more day as the university has postponed admission process in undergraduate courses in one day.

The University of Delhi (DU) has postponed the seat allotment process in its colleges by a day, officials said, adding that the first list will now be declared on Wednesday, October 19. Earlier, it was scheduled to release today, October 18.

“The university (DU) will now release the first seat allotment list on Wednesday,” an official told PTI.

The development comes as the Supreme Court is set to hear on Wednesday a plea by St Stephen’s College, one of the colleges under DU, against an order of the Delhi High Court.

The High Court has asked the college to follow the admission policy framed by DU, according to which 100 percent weightage will be given to the score of Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-2022 while admitting non-minority students in its undergraduate courses. Will happen. According to the report of PTI.

However, St Stephen’s College wants to give only 85% weightage to CUET and 15% weightage to interview for admitting students in all categories.

DU started admissions for over 70,000 seats last month. The university has received 217,000 applications for graduate program There is a decrease of about 70,000 in this academic session as compared to last year.

Last year, the university saw over 2.87 lakh registrations, while in 2020, 3.53 lakh candidates applied for undergraduate programs in the university.

This year, the university is admitting students through CUET scores instead of their class 12 marks. On 12 September, the university released its admission-cum-allocation policy called Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS).

Admission through CSAS is being conducted in three phases – submission of application form, selection of programs and filling of preferences, and seat allotment and admission.
