DU Admissions: What’s Next

Once a seat is allotted to a candidate in a particular round, he/she has to click on ‘Accept’ within the specified date and time if they wish to proceed with the same. Those who accept the seat will have to go through the document verification round. The College will either ‘Approve’ or ‘Reject’ the provisionally allotted seat of the candidate.

If a candidate does not accept the seat, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent rounds of allotment. “Only those candidates who take admission in a program in a college will be able to opt for upgradation in the later rounds,” the official statement said. The upgrade option will not be available to the candidate to whom his/her first choice has been offered. The candidates whose seats have been approved will have to pay the admission fee to reserve the seat.

Around 70,000 seats are available in 91 affiliated universities every year through the DU admission process 2022. Candidates will be taken into consideration only if they have secured DU 1st cut-off 2022 marks for any undergraduate program in their desired college. DU had released the mock list on October 14, and the deadline for changing the preferences was set at 5 pm on Sunday, October 16.

Earlier the merit list was to be released on October 18, but later it was postponed. Supreme Court said that it will hear the petition of St. Stephen’s College Against the Delhi HC’s decision not to allow DU College to conduct interviews with CUET scores for admission to its UG courses. DU has released the cut off for the first time on the basis of Common University Entrance Test. Meanwhile, if there is a tie-breaker, it will be done through class 12 marks.
