DU Admissions: After a gap of two years, Delhi University will conduct sports and ECA tests this year for candidates seeking admission through this route, officials said on Tuesday. However, applicants will have to give the Common University Entrance Test (CUET), he said. The university had not conducted tests for admission under the sports and extra-curricular activities (ECA) quota in the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This year, if the COVID situation remains fine and there is no increase in cases, we will do sports and ECA tests. Delhi University Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh told reporters here, 25 per cent weightage will be given to CUET marks and 75 per cent weightage to their performance in trials while admitting students.

Officials said that centralized testing will be conducted by the university. The registration for CUET will start from Wednesday. As per the existing guidelines of the university, colleges are allowed to admit five per cent of their students under sports and ECA quota.
