DU students appearing for physical exam will get additional 30 minutes, more options in question paper

Recently DU 1st, 3rd and 5th semester students appeared in the online open book examination.

Delhi University students of 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters will take the exam in physical mode, which is likely to be held in May and June.

Delhi University (DU) Students who will appear in the examination in physical mode after a gap of about two years will get additional 30 minutes and more options in the question paper as a special one-time measure. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, DU had started conducting online open book exams for the students. Recently, first, third and fifth semester students appeared for the online open book examination. Students of 2nd, 4th and 6th semesters will take the exam in physical mode, which is likely to be held in May and June.

In an official notification released on Friday, the university said that the duration of each exam will be extended by 30 minutes as a special one-time measure. “The Faculty/Department will be requested to provide additional options in the question paper wherever applicable,” it said.

“Students who have filled the examination form and are not able to appear for it due to proper reasons may be given one more chance to appear for the same. For that purpose, Phase-II of the above examination will be conducted for the remaining (remaining) students,” it added. The university said that faculties, departments and colleges would be requested to provide study material to the needy students. Various faculties and departments will be requested to conduct mock tests in addition to class tests.
