Mangaluru: Karnataka minister for Main And Secondary Education BC Nagesh has issued an order directing educational institutions to declare Dussehra holiday in Dakshina Kannada district from September 26 to October 10.
Mangaluru South MLA Ved Vyas Kamath had requested the minister to declare Dussehra holiday as per the annual festival being organized on a large scale in the city.
However, in Udupi Holiday will be given in the district according to the academic calendar 2022-23 of the Department of School Education and Literacy. Dussehra holidays in the district are from October 3 to 16.
