Mysore, Karnataka:

Congress President Sonia Gandhi offered prayers at a temple in HD Kote assembly constituency on the occasion of Vijayadashami today.

Mrs Gandhi, who arrived in Mysore on Monday afternoon for the party’s ongoing Bharat Jodi Yatra in Karnataka, which is currently on a two-day holiday for Ayudha Puja and Vijayadashami (Tuesday and Wednesday), is staying at a private resort here.

“Mrs. Sonia Gandhi offers #Dussehra prayers today at Bhimanakoli temple in Begur village of HDkot Assembly, Karnataka. Simple, calm & honest – away from politics & in true spirit of #VijayDashmi. #Dussehra2022,” AICC General Secretary In-Charge Karnataka Randeep Singh Surjewala said in a tweet accompanying the pictures.

She will participate in the yatra on Thursday morning when it resumes after a two-day break.

Sonia Gandhi had not campaigned for the party during the recent elections due to health reasons.

After a long time Mrs. Gandhi will attend the party’s public program where Congress workers are participating in large numbers.
