ED interrogates two key accused in TSPSC paper leak case

Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Monday interrogated the two main accused in the TSPSC paper leak at Chanchalguda Jail.

The officials questioned Pulidindi Praveen Kumar, an assistant section officer of the TSPSC, who allegedly connived with Atala Rajasekhara Reddy, a network administrator, to leak the confidential documents.

The officials interrogated the two, in the presence of their lawyers, about their bank accounts, the transfer of money and also how the ₹11 lakh collected from the couple, Renuka and Lavadyavath Dhakya, was transacted. Was and how many hands were involved in the exchange of the leaked paper between Rajasekhar and Renuka. He was also asked about his total income from the alleged “sale” of exam papers.

The team of ED officials will question Praveen and Rajasekhar again on Tuesday to gather more information.

The authorities had earlier issued notices to TSPSC section officer Shankar Lakshmi and assistant section officer Satyanarayana in connection with the probe. Shankar Lakshmi appeared before ED officials on April 13 and was questioned about her work in the confidential section of the commission and the protocol for handling documents.

The ED started the probe after registering an Enforcement Case Information Report (ECIR). Following a petition, the Nampally court had allowed the ED to interrogate the two main accused for two days.

On 13 March, the Hyderabad city police arrested six people in the case, including Pulidindi Praveen Kumar, Atala Raja Sekhar Reddy, network administrator at TSPSC, Praveen’s friend Renuka, a teacher, and her husband Lavadyavath Dhakya, who had stolen the papers. took it and sold it. Others with the help of Kethavath Srinivas, Kethavath Rajeshwar, Kethavath Nilesh Nayak, Kethavath Rajendra Nayak and Pathalvath Gopal Nayak, a police constable from Medchal.
