Education Minister Atishi launches video series on Delhi Government’s Happiness Curriculum

Developing self-awareness, expression, empathy and understanding of relationships are key objectives of the curriculum

Education Minister Atishi on Sunday launched a 36-episode video series on Delhi government’s Happiness Curriculum and said it will help teachers around the world help their students lead a happy and purposeful life.

He said that with this initiative people would learn to serve humanity in true sense.

The Happiness Curriculum was launched in 2018 with a vision to strengthen the foundation of happiness and well-being of students through daily 35-minute classes from Kindergarten to Class 8 across 1,030 government schools in the national capital.

Developing self-awareness, expression, empathy and understanding of relationships are key objectives of the course.

“The video series is available with subtitles which will help the Delhi government to spread the philosophy of Happiness Curriculum to the public at large. This is a very important initiative through which we can bring a positive change in our lives,” said Atishi.

Series by Delhi Govt. Education He said that the department is an initiative to share the “aim of life” and the role of education in achieving that aim.

The minister said that the department will share this video series with top universities and institutions across the world and incorporate their suggestions.
