Eight newly elected MLCs from local body areas took charge in the Legislative Council on 15 May.
Council chairman K Moshenu Raju administered him the oath of office. The MLCs are P. Rama Subba Reddy (Cuddapah), Meriga Muralidhar (Nellore), Kavuru Srinivasa and Vanka Ravindranath (West Godavari), Kudupudi Suryanarayana Rao (East Godavari), Narathu Rama Rao (Srikakulam), S. Subramaniam (Chittoor) and A. Madhusudan (Kurnool).
Deputy CM and Minister of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, B Mutyala Naidu, Minister Dharmana Prasad Rao, Ch. Venugopal Krishna, Karumuri Nageswara Rao and M Nagarjuna, Government Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, Assembly Secretary General PPK Ramacharyulu, Chief Whips Mudunuri Prasad Raju and Umareddy Venkateswarlu and others were present.
