Election commission gave permission for victory procession

In a statement, the ECI said: “In view of the current situation of COVID-19 in these polled states, the Commission has decided to relax the guidelines on victory processions during and after counting of votes and roll back the complete ban on victory processions.” have taken. However, this relaxation will be subject to the extant instructions of SDMA and preventive measures put in place by the concerned district authorities.”

The ECI had announced a ban on victory processions on January 8. It said that it had gradually relaxed the election campaign norms in consultation with the Union Health Ministry and state governments during the elections as the COVID-19 situation improved.
