Ellen DeGeneres’s Beauty Line Is About Positive Aging

Ellen DeGeneres has launched her own skin care brand called Kind Science. The beauty brand, which took three years to build, will focus on the positives of the age. The products offered are “kind to animals, kind to skin, kind to the planet and kind to your wallet.” Blended with ingredients that are gentle on the skin, the products are all vegetarian or vegan. Rated as “age-positive,” Kind Science is designed for all skin types.

The comedian and morning show host, who has become a skincare junkie and beauty entrepreneur with his latest line, has launched Kind Science with good friend and beauty industry veteran Victoria Jackson.

In a press release, Ellen said that the brand is the brainchild of her long struggle to find good skin care products. Kind Science products are said to support collagen growth without irritating the skin.

“I’ve tried pretty much everything out there and finally decided to launch my own line to do what matters most to me – taking care of myself, the animals, and the planet,” said the television host.

The Kind Science line includes seven products—a cleanser, micro-exfoliant, hydration cream, firming serum, neck treatment, eye cream, and radiation oil.

Meanwhile, Ellen announced in May this year that her run as a host for The Ellen DeGeneres Show would end with the latest, the 19th season. The development comes after Allen’s former employees alleged workplace harassment and misconduct.

She has since addressed the allegations and apologized. The TV mainstay staff was allegedly being misbehaved during the day. The news prompted an investigation into the show and revealed former employees’ unpleasant experiences of sexual harassment, racism and a toxic work environment.

The claims were addressed by Allen who apologized. Following the investigation, three top producers were sacked. With Kind Science, Ellen appears to embody the ethos of kindness.
