Twitter’s new boss Elon Musk is once again in the headlines. But this time the reason is something else. Responding to a tweet, the billionaire revealed that he has lost around 30 pounds (13 kg).
He was replying to a user’s tweet, which said, “You’ve lost a lot of weight, Elon! Keep up the great work.” He also posted two pictures of the billionaire in the tweet, which shows his weight loss transformation. Responding to the same, he wrote, “30 pounds down!”
Many users were surprised to see this transformation. One of them asked the company’s “Chief Tweet” how he achieved this feat. Mr Musk said he uses a combination of fasting, limiting his consumption of “delicious food”, and taking the diabetes drug Ozempic/Vegovy to stay in shape and stay healthy. “Fasting + Ozempic/Vegovy + I don’t have any yummy food,” he said on Twitter.
Soon after this people started congratulating Mr. Musk for this. A user said, “Congratulations E! This is awesome.”
Another user said, “It may be a rough road, but keep at it and you’ll get there!”

A few months ago, Mr. Musk shared that he was making some lifestyle changes. He had said in a tweet on August 28 that he was doing intermittent fasting on the advice of a friend and was feeling healthy. He wrote on Twitter, “On the advice of a good friend, I have been doing periodic fasting and feel healthy. Zero fasting app is very good.” He also mentioned that he was “over 20 pounds (nine kilograms) below” his peak weight. In response to a tweet, Mr Musk said he also raises “a little bit”.
Mr Musk’s father, Errol Musk, spoke on the Kyle and Jackie O show on Australian radio station KIIS FM that same month, saying his son was “eating badly”. Errol Musk also suggested that his son should take diet pills to lose weight.
