Emmy 2022 nominations: Succession moves forward with 25 nods, Squid game scores big

The nominations for the 74th Emmy Awards 2022 have ended and the succession for the coveted award for television continues with 25 nominations. South Korean drama Squid Game, which hit the internet last year, is following a succession with Best Drama nominations and 13 more nominations. Succession, a satirical drama about the rich, had won the Best Drama trophy and eight other awards when it last held for the Emmys in 2020.

Other top nominations are The White Lotus, which also received 20 nominations, the comedy Hacks and Only Murders in the Building with 17 bids each, and the teen procrastination drama Euphoria. Its star, Zendaya, was crowned Best Actress in 2020 and nominated again.

Meanwhile, This Is Us got a one-time nod for original music and lyrics. However, unlike Squid Game, Pachinko failed to receive any Emmys.
