Employees Provident Fund interest rate cut, at 4-decade low business – Times of India Videos

The government today reduced the interest rate on deposits of Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) to 8.1 percent for 2021-22. The interest rate during the last financial year was 8.5 per cent. The lowest rate of interest since 1977-78 on retirement funds for organized sector employees was recommended by the Central Board of Trustees after a meeting in Guwahati chaired by Union Labor and Employment Minister Bhupendra Yadav.
