India’s culinary repertoire is vast, multifaceted and diverse. Traverse the length and breadth of the country and you will see that each cuisine has something new to offer. Bombay’s iconic eatery, Copper Chimney has made its debut in Cyber Hub, Gurgaon and is offering a new kind of Mughlai cuisine to the Delhi NCR eaters that is luscious and extraordinary and goes beyond the usual options.

Copper Chimney was originally started in Bombay by Mr. JK Kapoor, when he moved there after the partition of India. His vision was to serve cuisine from the North West Frontier Province from Peshawar to Delhi. Inaugurated by legendary actor Dilip Kumar in 1972, the brand has become a household name in Mumbai and has now moved to Gurgaon as well. The familiar chimes of copper bells in contemporary interiors, combined with lots of vibrant lighting and indoor plants, give Copper Chimneys a familiar and cozy ambiance – just like the friendly neighborhood eatery we often visit.

appetizers and drinks

Kadak Roomali It was the first time we tried on our trip. One of the copper tamarind’s best-known dishes, it was originally a paper-thin bread that was roasted until crisp and topped with onions, tomatoes, and mixed spices. Very similar to Masala Papad, it was indeed an addictive snack. was next Mustard Broccoli, a grilled broccoli appetizer cooked with chili mustard that is infused with the flavor of Punjab. The bold flavor of Broccoli Mustard stood out from the rest. we also sampled it Chelo Kebab with Paneer Tikka From Iran that was served on a bed of buttered basmati rice. The risotto-like rice was mildly sweet and completely melted in our mouths, making a delightful pairing with smoky paneer tikka.

Main courses and desserts

Copper Chimney’s extensive menu really left us spoiled for choice. After much deliberation, we chose Spicy Punjabi Aloo Toss baby potatoes in aromatic Amritsari spices and whole red chilies. The delicious flavors of garlic and tomato were very prominent in this dish. next, Vegetable Makhanwala It was a tempting treat with a mix of seasonal vegetables in a creamy tomato gravy, topped with crushed cashews. Though the preparation was great, we felt a few more vegetables could be added to it.
