Ensure justice wins, not just customers, Tamil Nadu CM tells law students

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Tuesday likened the lawyer’s argument to Deepak without any discrimination, urging law students to ensure the victory of justice and not be limited by the success of their clients. Speaking on the Silver Jubilee of Dr. Ambedkar Law University at Tharmani here, the Chief Minister said that justice, especially social justice, should be omnipresent and students aspiring to take up law as a profession should act as ambassadors of justice. .

“People want justice. You must serve as an angel of justice. Use their legal skills and debating skills to provide justice to the poor and downtrodden,” urged the CM. Recalling the famous saying of former Chief Minister CN Annadurai on the subject, Stalin said that justice should be accessible to all. “Law is a dark room where a lawyer’s argument is a lamp. It should be accessible to the poor… You should try to ensure not only the victory of your customers, but also justice,” he said. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated the Silver Jubilee Plaque and released a special souvenir.
