no clue after five years

The story attracted widespread attention beyond Toronto’s upscale neighbourhoods. The police were initially treating these deaths as murder-suicide. Investigators determined that the couple were victims of ‘targeted killing’, but five years later, the crime remains unsolved.

“This week marks the five-year anniversary of my parents being murdered in their home. Every day since then has been a nightmare. I am overwhelmed with pain, loss and sadness, and these feelings just keep rising. “

“Until and unless those responsible for this heinous act are brought to justice, it will not be possible to bring closure,” he said.

A few days later, an autopsy was performed and it was confirmed that the couple had been strangled and died. Police said at the time that the investigation was still in its early stages and the deaths were not being treated as homicides.

Despite searching the couple’s properties and questioning several people, the police failed to crack the case.

On the couple’s fourth anniversary last year, investigators asked the public for help identifying the ‘man walking’. He shared a video of a shadowy man caught on security video walking along snow-covered sidewalks in the couple’s North York neighborhood.

Police believed the man to be linked to the murders but have so far failed to identify him. Even after five years of the murders, there has been no new major development. His daughter, Alex Krawczyk, said the lack of answers added to the sadness.

Meanwhile, Toronto Police said they are committed to solving the case and bringing the family and friends of Barry and Honey Sherman closer together.
