‘Fantastic and very captivating’: What did Anand Mahindra say about this highway in Manipur?

Chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra On Thursday, Twitter praised the 45.6-km Wangjing-Khonkhang section of National Highway-39 for its natural beauty.

Mahindra retweeted a post by Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari.

“It looks fabulous and so inviting, The magic of Manipur is now more accessible. These highways will connect India together even more strongly.”

The post had some pictures of the picturesque scene.

The industrialist also said, “This is a confirmation of our commitment for the rapid development of Manipur under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi.”

On March 16, Nitin Gadkari shared pictures of this area. Highway And wrote on Twitter, “The 45.6 KM long Wangjing-Khonkhang section of NH-39 in Manipur was dedicated to the nation in October 2021. This scenic road is one of the many such roads providing uninterrupted connectivity in the state of Manipur. ,

Connectivity Development for the North East

Union minister Gadkari had earlier said that the BJP-led government plans to develop a national highway network of 2 lakh km by 2025.

In January this year, the first goods train arrived at Rani Gaidinliu Railway Station in Tamenglong, Manipur. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that it would boost commerce and connectivity of the state.

“The transformation of the Northeast continues. Manipur’s connectivity will be enhanced and commerce will be boosted. The wonderful products of the state can travel across the country.” PM Modi quote-tweeted and wrote a post shared by Union Development Minister for North Eastern Region G Kishan Reddy.

A video was also attached with the tweet. In the video, a goods train can be seen entering the station.

Describing it as a “historic day” for Manipur, Reddy had said that “the Narendra Modi-led government is committed to enhancing infrastructure connectivity and economic prosperity in the Northeast region”.
