India’s fantasy sports market touch 1.65 lakh crore with a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 38% by FY2025, according to a report by industry body Federation of Indian Fantasy Sports (FIFS) and Deloitte. The fantasy sports market currently stands 34,000 crores. The report ‘Fantasy Sports: Creating a Virtual Cycle of Sports Development’ states that India is the world’s largest fantasy sports market with a user base of over 130 million. Unlike their global counterparts, where fantasy sports users are predominantly male, accounting for 67% of total revenue, currently, it is estimated that around 30% of the registered user base on fantasy sports platforms in India are women, a number that Consistent growth is expected over the next few years.
