Ramanuja Mukherjee shared that he had gone to Rashtrapati Bhavan with his family as a state guest to receive the award from the former President.
It is always a happy moment to see our hard work recognized in the form of awards and trophies which we will cherish forever. Apart from us, it is our parents who are happy on receiving praise. Capturing this sentiment, a man has recalled the time of receiving the award from former President of India APJ Abdul Kalam and how his father reacted to it. Ramanuja Mukherjee, CEO of online legal education portal LawSikho, shared in a tweet that he was awarded the President’s Award for his creative writing in 2004. He also posted a picture from the award ceremony in which he is seen standing with APJ Abdul Kalam. , “I received the President’s Award for Creative Writing in 2004. When I was in high school,” Mukherjee wrote.
He said that he had gone to Rashtrapati Bhavan in Delhi with his family to receive the award from the former President. Highlighting her father’s reaction to the recognition, Mukherjee said, “I thought my father would be proud. I asked him what he thought of my achievement.
Mukherjee said that his father asked him whether creative writing would get him a job or help of any kind.
“Well baba, my writing helped me build a company that employs 380 people from all over the world”. He said that writing saved his life and helped him become who he is today.
