According to sources, Ajay, who had allegedly taken part in the anti-Agneepath protest on Friday, feared arrest by the police, which is probing the sabotage case.

He was taken to a hospital in the district headquarter town and then referred to a super specialty hospital in Warangal late Tuesday night for better treatment. His condition is said to be stable.

Sources said that he had cleared the physical fitness test at an army recruitment rally in the past and was waiting for the Common Entrance Test (CEE) to crack the exam and realize his ambition of joining the Indian Army.

He was simultaneously preparing for the Police Constable Recruitment Exam to join the Uniformed Service.

Sources said that he was one of the candidates seeking jobs in the Army from the old undivided Warangal district and several other districts who had gathered in Secunderabad as part of the anti-Agneepath protest, allegedly organized through some WhatsApp groups .

It was not immediately known whether any case has been registered against him in connection with the Secunderabad railway station arson case, local police sources said.

He allegedly attempted suicide, while the Government Railway Police at Secunderabad railway station intensified the arson investigation based on technical evidence including CCTV footage and arrested several accused in the vandalism case.
