‘Fight elections on BRS and demand mandate’

BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has called on Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao to resign and seek the mandate again as people had voted for Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and not BRS.

“People have voted for TRS and not BRS. Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao lost the right to continue as Chief Minister. If you are confident that people will vote for you again then contest elections,” demanded Mr. Sanjay while talking to reporters here on Thursday. He said that no one in TRS is happy with this development and it is showing on their face.

“Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao had alleged in the past that the state was paying more taxes than what it was receiving from the Centre. Now clarify to him how much he will bring to Telangana from the national revenue resources,” the BJP president said. Wanted to know whether the party will contest Munugode assembly by-election in the name of TRS or BRS.He said that Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao cannot seek votes in the name of TRS.

“There are many political parties which claim to be national like Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), All India AIADMK AIADMK and even AIMIM. What happened to those parties? What is the condition of the communist parties? Asked Mr. Sanjay that there was no one to trust Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao and that those who attended the BRS function by renaming TRS were either politically unemployed or had lost public support in their states. Recalling the comments made by the Chief Minister in the past that national parties cannot do anything for the state and that he was a political tourist, the BJP president asked why the national party was formed. He said that the purpose of setting up BRS is to make party working president KT Rama Rao the chief minister.

Refuting the Chief Minister’s claim that the Dalit brothers have been reached out to 8.4 lakh families, Mr. Sajay demanded the release of the list of beneficiaries.
