Deverakonda said, “The company is a brand that has stood the test of time and emerged as a significant player as the brand has again secured the first position in the Indian smartwatch market and also put India on the global map. The aim is to make smartwatches affordable so that everyone can track their fitness and this philosophy convinced me to associate with this brand.”

Arnav Kishor, Founder and CEO of the company said, “We want a smartwatch on every wrist after the new normal, just as having a cell phone in every hand is now a reality. A step in that direction is our partnership with Vijay, which we have already taken with our current association with Virat Kohli, Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani.”

Ayushi Kishor, Co-Founder of the company said, “We believe in developing an ecosystem that responds to consumer expectations with specially produced items that are both cutting edge and trendy. Vijay will be instrumental in helping us build one of the most renowned and reputed companies in the smart wearables market. So we are moving at full speed to take advantage of this opportunity and enter the southern market with complete control.”

India’s wearables market shipped 13.9 million units in the first quarter of 2022, up 20.1% year-on-year, according to recent data from International Data Corporation (IDC)’s ‘India Monthly Wearable Device Tracker’. This growth can be attributed to new launches, discounts across channels and aggressive marketing by brands. The overall category average selling point declined by 17.1% mainly due to a strong decline in the watches category.
