Fire in forest area near Majnu Ka Tila in North Delhi

Three fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the blaze, the Delhi Fire Department said on Thursday as a forest fire broke out near Majnu ki Tila area in North Delhi.

An official said that the department received information about the fire at 2.42 pm.

The official said that the department pressed three fire tenders at once and they are working on the spot to douse the fire.

The process of extinguishing the fire is still on and the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Delhi Fire Service said that detailed information is awaited.

Earlier this week, a massive fire broke out at the Atlantis Banquet Hall on GT Karnal Road in Delhi. 12 fire tenders reached the spot to douse the fire. One person was found unconscious inside the banquet hall and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
