First Kia Carense Roll Out from Anantapur Plant

Kia Carens is the latest entrant in the MPV segment in India.

Kia India has commissioned the first unit of Cairns from its Anantapur manufacturing plant in Andhra Pradesh. The pre-bookings for the new Kia Carence started on January 14, 2022 for a token amount of ₹ 25,000. The Kia Carens is expected to launch in February 2022, though the company is yet to announce the launch date. Kia India received an overwhelming response for the MPV on the first day of the pre-booking announcement. It got 7,738 pre-bookings in just 24 hours since the window opened and is likely to be growing on demand.

Kia Carens will be offered in five variants.

The Kia Carens will be offered in five trim levels – Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus; In both six-seater and seven-seater configurations. The Kia Carens MPV will be offered with a choice of two petrol and one diesel engine. First comes the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, then comes the 1.4-litre, four-cylinder turbo petrol motor, and finally the 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel mill. Transmission is handled by a six-speed manual gearbox as standard, while a seven-speed DCT will be offered as optional with a 1.4 turbo engine option and a six-speed torque converter is optional on the diesel iteration.
