Due to heavy rains, many parts of Shivamogga were flooded. Fire brigade and emergency personnel are engaged in rescuing the stranded people and taking them to safer places. Residents of RML Nagar, Gopala and Sharavati Nagar are badly affected by water entering several houses.

Shivamogga District Fire Officer BR Ashok Kumar told Hindu, “Our people are at work. We are on alert and whenever we get a call, we reach the places.
