Flower Turbines installed at three railway premises in Chennai | Chennai News – Times of India

CHENNAI: Chennai Railway Division has installed and commissioned three prototype units of Flower Turbine, which is a combination of wind and solar energy Generators of 1.5KW each in its three campuses.
These units have been set up at Moore Market Complex Building, Chennai Divisional Office Building and Light House at MRTS Station.
They are easy to maintain. They generate very little noise and also include a remote monitoring system for real time monitoring of wind speed and power output.
The move is part of efforts to increase the use of green energy.
