FM to industry: Invest in sunrise sectors and power development – Times of India

New Delhi: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Urging the Indian industry to invest and start a virtuous cycle to drive growth, he said on Saturday. “There exists a huge opportunity for Indian industry to invest in sunrise and new age sectors. “I call upon Indian industry to participate in the virtuous cycle of investment so that the opportunity to push #India into the orbit of high growth moves towards India@100,” Sitharaman said.
The FM said that the government has extended the benefit of lower corporate tax rate for new manufacturing units for one more year till March 2024 and there are many sunrise areas where India has played a leading role, such as vaccines, genomics, space India, nuclear power and India have proven their prowess in adopting digital and start-ups are an enabling force for innovation and new ideas. “The corporate sector should not miss this opportunity of higher growth rate,” the finance minister said.
