The patent was filed late last year, though was recently published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. According to the patent, Ford will not only let you remote start your vehicle from a mobile device, but through an app, will let you set a reving pattern for your engine and at the push of a button the car will reach a specified RPM limit. While the system may sound cool for some cars like the Ford Mustang GT or even the Ford GT, it remains to be seen how the carmaker will be able to pull off a realistic-sounding engine note on the EV.
