Foreign tour operators are being invited for ‘Experience based tourism’ in Rajasthan

With the promotion of “experience-based tourism” by the Congress government in Rajasthan, foreign tour operators are being invited to the state to join the themes of heritage walks, nature walks and food trails, which attract a large number of tourists. State Tourism Director Rashmi Sharma said here on Friday that experience-based tourism would create employment opportunities in rural areas and promote handicraft items, home shopping, folk music, art and rural culture. Ms. Sharma said that the Desert Safari and Nature Walk would help in highlighting the State on the tourism map of the country.

The 12th edition of the Great Indian Travel Bazaar, to be held here from April 23 to 25, will provide new tourism opportunities and attractions to tour operators from different countries. The promotional mart is being organized after a gap of three years, when it was stopped during the COVID-19 pandemic.

New policies in the tourism sector including Rural Tourism Policy, Film Tourism Promotion Policy and Eco-Tourism Policy will be publicized during the Mart, while benefits offered to heritage hotels and unique experiential packages for travelers will also be showcased. Over 280 leading foreign tour operators from 56 countries will participate in the Mart as overseas buyers. Some leading hotel chains, luxury resorts, heritage hotels, health care institutions, investors, financial institutions, road transport organizations and state tourism boards will also be showcasing their products at the Mart.
