Forest officer shared video of baby elephant’s fun, awe on the internet

Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan, who regularly shares interesting facts about wildlife, shared a heartwarming video of two baby elephants playing with each other.

The snippet opens with one of the large elephants on a smaller one. However, before the fight can escalate further, adult elephants from the herd intervene and protect the younger calf.

Along with the adorable video, Mr Kaswan wrote, “When cousins ​​fight elders have to intervene.”

This video has got more than one lakh views on Twitter so far. Social media users flooded the comments section of the post with red heart emojis and reacted to the cute video. One user commented, “I wish I could go and hug them all and play with them. They are strong and divine.”

Meanwhile, Kaswan posted a video on Twitter, which shows a large group of butterflies gathering around a water body. Most of them are trying to find some place where they are sitting on the ground, as if trying to get something out of the ground.

Mr. Kaswan said it is called a “puddle of mud. Where butterflies gather to collect salt.” He added that the video was shot during a random trip.

In a subsequent tweet, the IFS officer said, “Mostly done by males. They collect salt and pheromones to attract females. They collect them from small pools of water, cow dung, soil etc.”
