After questioning the CBSE, former West Bengal Education Minister and senior TMC leader Partha Chatterjee has moved the Supreme Court challenging the decision of the Calcutta High Court Division Bench. Chatterjee has filed a special leave petition (SPL) and the SC is likely to consider the petition tomorrow, May 20.

Chatterjee is accused of using influence in a West Bengal government job. The CBI has now questioned the Industries Minister for three hours for his alleged involvement in the recruitment scam. In many state schools, the recruitment of teachers at various levels has been done on the choice of ministers allegedly flouting all procedures. The ministers reportedly include Partha Chatterjee and five other members of the state’s advisory committee.

Single Bench of Calcutta HC directed former Education Minister and TMC leader Partha Chatterjee to appear before CBI. Earlier, the High Court had also raised questions on the role of the then education Minister – Partha Chatterjee. However, at that time the state government had moved the Division Bench for relief. The decision of the High Court was upheld by the Single Judge Bench. Now, Chatterjee has moved the SC.

The court recommended that State Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chatterjee be removed from his post as he had prima facie involvement in the scam. The recommendation has been made to the Governor and the Chief Minister.

Meanwhile, the CBI has registered a case against MoS Paresh Adhikari and his daughter. The officer had reportedly made his daughter a part of the merit list on the basis of his influence. Babita Sarkar applied for the job of teacher, she was successful in passing the recruitment test and was in waiting list number 20. He expected that in the fifth counseling of political science teacher recruitment for 11 and 12, his post was allegedly given to the officer’s daughter. effect is based.
