Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh: PM recites lines from song ‘Arunachal Hamara’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday greeted the countrymen Arunachal Pradesh And on the foundation day of Mizoram and appreciated his contribution. PM Modi greeted the people of Arunachal Pradesh on their foundation day. He said, “The people of the state are known for their brilliant talent and hardworking nature. May the state scale new heights of development in the times to come.”

PM Modi also recited a few lines from ‘Arunachal Hamara’ – a song written by Bharat Ratna Bhupen Hazarika.

In a tweet, Modi said, “Greetings to the people of Mizoram on their foundation day. India is extremely proud of the vibrant culture of Mizoram and the contribution of Mizoram to national progress.”

“We are working to make Arunachal a major gateway to East Asia. Modern infrastructure has been established keeping in view the role of Arunachal in regards to national security. Nature has endowed Arunachal with many of its treasures. You have made nature a part of life. We are trying to take this tourism potential of Arunachal to the whole world,” he said.

Arunachal Pradesh became a full-fledged state on 20 February 1987. Similarly, Mizoram became the 23rd state of India on 20 February 1987 with the fiftieth amendment of the Indian Constitution, 1986.
