A fun-filled evening in the midst of Dussehra festivities turned tragic for a group of youth when three of them were killed and two others injured when lightning struck Sagram village of Jafargarh mandal of Jangaon district late on Wednesday evening.

The deceased have been identified as 22-year-old N Sivakrishna, 23-year-old J Saikumar and 22-year-old M Sambaraju.

Police said they were residents of Bandhavathapuram village in Vardhanapet mandal.

Three youths were killed and two others were injured in this incident.

Both the injured youths have been admitted to MGM Hospital in Warangal.

In another incident, a youth named Sampat was killed and two others were injured when lightning struck a village pond at Garla in Mahbubabad district on Wednesday night.
