IGP says a total of 10 JeM and LeT terrorists were killed in three days in Kashmir Valley
Four terrorists, including those behind Budgam artist murder, twin a. were killed incounter terrorism operation On Friday, May 27, 2022, in the Pulwama and Srinagar districts of the Kashmir Valley.
Two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an overnight encounter in Aganhanjipora area of Awantipora, Pulwama.
“The two killed were joined by local militants, identified as Shahid Mushtaq Bhat, a resident of Hafro Chadoora Budgam and Farhan Habib, a resident of Hakripora Pulwama. He had killed the TV artist on the instructions of Lashkar Commander Latif. An AK 56 rifle, 4 magazines and a pistol were recovered,” Inspector General of Police (IGP) Vijay Kumar said.
Artist Amrin Bhat was murdered by gunmen in his house two days ago.
Police in the capital Srinagar said they killed two terrorists in an operation in the early hours of the Soura area.
“The two Lashkar slain terrorists have been identified as Shakir Ahmed Waza and Afreen Aftab Malik, both residents of Tranz Shopian. He was placed in the ‘C’ category. Incriminating material including arms and ammunition were recovered,” the police said.
A policeman was killed in Soura area on 24 May.
IGP Kumar said four Lashkar terrorists have been killed in less than 10 hours in two operations.
“A total of 10 terrorists were killed in the Kashmir Valley in three days, including three Jaish-e-Mohammed and seven Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists. Ambreen’s heinous murder case was resolved in 24 hours,” said IGP Kumar.
