They will go on public display for the first time at a month-long summer exhibition at Sotheby’s in London, before they are sold at six separate auctions, each dedicated to a different aspect of the singer’s life.

“For many years, I have had the pleasure and privilege of being surrounded by all the wonderful things Freddie discovered and loved so much. But the years have passed, and the time has come for me to make the difficult decision to close this special chapter in my life,” Austin said in a statement.

“It was important to me to do it the way I thought Freddy would have liked, and there was nothing he loved more than an auction.”
