Vadodara: Teacher of the Faculty of Technology and Engineering of MS University (FTE) has been banned from examination duties for two years.
action against Dr. Gaurang Joshi The civil engineering department of the FTE has been taken over on the basis of a report submitted by retired Joint District Judge KK Vaish.
MSU An inquiry committee headed by Vaish was appointed to probe the allegations of Joshi’s indecent conduct in the examination and the re-evaluation process of the students.
In 2016-17, there were allegations that Assistant Professor Joshi had tried to influence the examination process by calling a teacher in favor of a student.
A faculty level inquiry committee was constituted. After the committee submitted its report, the university appointed another committee under the retired Joint District Judge.
“There were some observations in the report. Based on the report, the members of the syndicate have decided that for the next two years, the teacher will not be allowed to accept any work related to the examination. The teacher will be assigned teaching and other administrative duties,” said acting registrar of MSU Dr KM Chudasama Told.
