Gadkari inaugurated 18 National Highway projects worth Rs. 10 thousand crores in UP

New Delhi : Union Road, Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari on Monday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of 18 National Highway projects costing more than 10 thousand crores in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the 4 laning of Sonauli-Gorakhpur will strengthen the border security along the international border.

Gadkari said that the construction of the bypass will complete the construction of the Gorakhpur Ring Road, relieve traffic jams in the city and also help in setting up commercial, residential units.

The Union Minister said that the construction of the road from Kushinagar to Lumbini will give a boost to international tourism in Buddhist tourist places.

The connectivity of Bahraich-Shrawasti-Balrampur will improve with the construction of Gilola bypass. Along with this, the traffic will be smooth for the tourists coming to Devi Patan temple.

The minister said that the inauguration and foundation stone laying of the projects being done on this holy land of Baba Gorakshnath ji will boost investment and employment opportunities in Uttar Pradesh and boost industrial development.

On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Union Minister of State Pankaj Chaudhary and all MPs, MLAs and officials were present.
