Gaganyaan Mission Test Flight highlights: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) successfully executed the Test Flight Abort Mission, for the Gaganyaan mission on Saturday after the first test flight was aborted at 8:45 am due to a problem in the engine ignition.
ISRO Chief S Somanth said the planned lift off the TV-D1 rocket could not happen following an anomaly that will be analysed.
He said that the engine ignition of the TV-D1 rocket did not happen over time.
The space agency then said that the errors have been identified and corrected and the second launch was scheduled for 10:00 Hrs today.
And at 10 am, ISRO successfully launched the test vehicle from Sriharikota today. Chairman Somanath expressed happiness and said, “I am very happy to announce the successful accomplishment of Gaganyaan TV-D1 mission”.
India completes phase-1 of Gaganyaan mission after delay
India on Saturday completed a key test in its ambitious crewed space mission Gaganyaan, hours after halting the planned lift-off.
“Mission Gaganyaan gets off on a successful note,” ISRO wrote on the X platform.
The launch had been set for 8 a.m. (0230 GMT) but could not initially be completed. It was successfully completed at 10 a.m.

ISRO Chairman S Somanath said that the engine ignition of the TV-D1 rocket did not happen in the course of time.
There was a very smooth airlift and automatic launch sequence leading up to the command to lift off, “but the engine ignition has not happened in the nominal course due to anomaly,” Somanath said soon after the mission was put on hold.
He said the ISRO scientists, working on the Gaganyaan project will soon find out what went wrong during the lift-off.
The ISRO Chief assured me that the entire vehicle was very safe. We will have to reach the vehicle and then look at what has happened now,” he said, adding ISRO will come back soon after analysing what triggered the automatic launch sequence holding the vehicle.
The revised launch schedule will be announced later after analysing what went wrong today, he added.
